Victorian emergency management volunteers are getting a well-deserved funding boost thanks to the Victorian Government’s $15 million Emergency Services Volunteer Sustainability Grants program.

Hundreds of grant applications for equipment, communications, facility upgrades and community engagement and training have already been received from volunteer organisations across the state.

The Hoppers Crossing CFA, Little River CFA, Wyndham SES and Wyndham West SES were successful in their grant applications for operational equipment and facility improvements.

• Hoppers Crossing CFA – $3,796.20 for 2 x portable radios with lapel microphones and a battery and charger.
• Little River CFA – $5,462.00 for rooftop air conditioning system.
• Wyndham SES – $77,327.90 for 4×4 Ford Ranger vehicle, ESV lights and decals, 4×4 recovery kit including first aid kit, shovel and flares.
• Wyndham West SES – $9,473.00 for 10 x dome security cameras, exterior signage for building.

This is a total contribution of $96,059 for emergency volunteers in the Wyndham community.

These grants will assist emergency volunteers in Wyndham, in the crucial work they do in keeping the community safe.
