WYNDHAM STUDENTS HONOURED IN PREMIER’S VCE AWARDS
Wyndham’s own Joshuah Ephraums and Jayitaa Ann Sethupathy have been recognised alongside the state’s best performing VCE students in the Premier’s VCE Awards.
Minister for Education James Merlino today congratulated all the high-achieving students, celebrating their outstanding achievements.
Joshuah Ephraums, of Heathdale Christian College, was recognised with an award for Music Performance (VCE VET).
Jayitaa Ann Sethupathy, of Werribee Secondary College, was recognised with an award for Chinese Language, Culture and Society.
Winners included an award-winning young filmmaker, a singer who has already enjoyed international success, and an aspiring scientist who has competed in a chemistry olympiad.
A total of 307 awards were announced, including 276 Study Awards, 28 Top All-Round VCE High Achiever Awards and three Top International Student Awards.
The Top All-Round VCE High Achiever awards recognise those students who achieved study scores of 46 or higher out of 50 in at least five VCE subjects, while Study Awards recognise the best performers in individual VCE subjects.
The Victorian Government is delivering on its promise to build the Education State so every student in the state can get a great education.
It has allocated $624.8 million toward delivering 100 new schools across the state over the next eight years, to ensure that every community has access to a great local school.
