Wyndham Sporting Uniform Grants Announced
Local Werribee MP, Tim Pallas, today announced the local recipients of the Uniform Sporting Grants Program made available to help Victorian clubs dress for success.
Locally the recipients of the program are;
- Lightning Netball Club, $926
- Western Wildcats Basketball Club, $1000
- Wyndham Netball Association, $1000
The Andrews Labor Government’s Sporting Uniform Grants Program gives clubs the opportunity to replace old kits with new uniforms, including team tops and short, socks and footy boots. In total, 336 clubs across Victoria will receive grants of up to
$1000. Club colours represent achievement, a sense of belonging and community
traditions.
The Labor Government’s program alleviates some of the costs associated with grassroots sport, taking the pressure off all Victorian families. It encourages even more Victorians to live active and healthy lifestyles and keeps communities connected.
The Labor Government is committed to making sport and recreation more accessible for all Victorians. The Government will spend $100 million upgrading community sporting facilities over the next four years, including $10 million on upgrading female change rooms and $10 million on improving cricket facilities.
