NEW FUND TO SHAPE VICTORIA’S CULTURAL LANDSCAPE
The Andrews Labor Government is funding new and improved cultural precincts to strengthen communities, attract visitors and support jobs.
Member for Werribee Tim Pallas welcomed the opening of the 2017 Community Infrastructure and Cultural Precincts (CICP) program, which will help build, restore and enhance cultural spaces across Victoria.
The program promotes a greater use of community facilities and precincts by culturally-diverse communities, and encourages more people to participate in local activities.
The grants will improve access to services and ensure community precincts support a range of cultural and tourism activities.
The Labor Government will continue to promote an inclusive society where every Victorian is able to share their culture and traditions.
Community groups, organisations and associations are encouraged to apply for funding to support projects in the 2017/18 financial year.
