LABOR COMES TO THE AID OF WERRIBEE SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION
The Andrews Labor Government will replace sporting equipment stolen from the Werribee Softball Association.
Member for Werribee Tim Pallas today announced the club would receive $1,998 from the Labor Government’s Sport and Recreation Emergency Equipment Grants program.
The grant allows Werribee Softball Association to replace essential sporting equipment that has been lost through theft and criminal damage.
Our helping hand provides swift, practical support to get clubs up and running again in their time of need.
Each year, the Victorian Government provides $30,000 through the Sport and Recreation Emergency Equipment Grants program.
The Victorian Budget 2017/18 invested $332.8 million to improve sports facilities – from grassroots to elite – to cement Victoria as the sporting capital of the world.
Grassroots clubs are the heart of our communities – that’s why we also bolstered the Sports Infrastructure Fund with a further $10 million to give more local clubs the facilities they need to grow.
