INCLUSIVE SCHOOLS FUND DELIVERS PROJECTS FOR LOCAL SCHOOLS
Manor Lakes P-12 College and Woodville Primary School will soon enjoy two new projects to improve accessibility for students thanks to the Andrews Labor Government’s $20 million Inclusive School’s Fund
Member for Werribee, Tim Pallas visited Manor Lakes P-12 College and Woodville Primary School to meet parents, staff and students, and see first-hand how the project is benefitting students.
The new learning space include:
- Woodville Primary School – project nearing completion to upgrade facilities and equipment to support students with disabilities to better participate and engage with learning at their school. These planned upgrades include creating a space for social interaction through ‘Play for All’.
- Manor Lakes P-12 College – project nearing completion of an outdoor sensory garden.
The Labor Government established the Inclusive Schools Fund to help government schools build new facilities to better support the social and educational needs of children with a disability.
Last year 33 schools received funding for upgrades under the program, with applications for the second round of funding now open.
The Andrews Labor Government is building the Education State so that every Victorian student gets the opportunity for a great education and every community has access to a great school.
There are now 42 new government schools and hundreds of school upgrades in the construction pipeline following the Labor Government’s record $1.8 billion investment in school infrastructure.
This school building boom will create 4000 construction jobs and ensure all Victorian families have access to a great school no matter where they live.
