GRANTS TO UPGRADE OUR COMMUNITY SPORT FACILITIES

The Allan Labor Government is investing millions across the state to upgrade and build new local sports facilities. Member for Werribee Tim Pallas MP announced that applications are now open for the 2024/25 Local Sports Infrastructure Fund. Through the 2024/25 Local Sports Infrastructure Fund, metropolitan councils can apply for funds towards a range of community sports infrastructure and active recreation projects including sports courts, lights, change rooms, playgrounds, skate parks, to benefit local clubs and communities. The fund has three funding streams including community facilities, community sports lighting, and planning. Previous projects in Werribee to receive grants from the Local Sports Infrastructure Fund include $1 million towards the redevelopment of the Galvin Park Football Netball Cricket Pavilion, which is also supported by the Victorian Government’s Growing Suburbs Fund $2 million contribution.
