CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION

The finalists in the 2021 Victorian Education Excellence Awards have been announced, with 41 local principals, teachers, and support teams named among the most outstanding educators in Victoria.

The awards are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year are the premiere employee recognition program for staff in Victorian government schools recognising inspirational teachers, principals, business managers and education support staff in public education.

There are two new categories this year, acknowledging the work of outstanding early career primary and secondary teachers.

Member for Werribee Tim Pallas congratulated a local finalist in the awards and thanked the outstanding educators whose work and commitment has improved schools and supported students to develop the skills, courage, and curiosity they needed to succeed in life.

Kimberley Zammit from Werribee’s Warringa Park School is a finalist in the Outstanding Secondary Teacher category.

A professional learning grant of $20,000 is awarded to each individual winner and a professional learning grant of $25,000 is awarded to each winning team.

The winners of the 2021 Victorian Education Excellence Awards will be announced on Friday, 22 October 2021.
