PEOPLE IN WERRIBEE ENCOURAGED TO ENTER SUSTAINABILITY AWARDS
Victorian businesses, schools, government and community groups who are leading the way in sustainability can now apply to enter the 2019 Premier’s Sustainability Awards.
Member for Werribee Tim Pallas today urged leaders in sustainability in the region to enter the 2019 Premier’s Sustainability Awards to promote their work helping to improve and protect the environment.
For the first time community groups or individuals can enter a new category that celebrates the positive impact of environmental volunteering.
Schools, businesses and community groups across Wyndham have a lot to be proud of when it comes to sustainability – this new category acknowledges and celebrates our volunteer sustainability trailblazers.
The categories for this year’s awards are:
- Built Environment
- Community
- Education
- Environmental Justice
- Environmental Protection
- Environmental Volunteering
- Government
- Health
- Innovative Products or Services
- Small to Medium Sized Businesses
- Large Business
The Awards highlight the leading-edge sustainability work that many Victorians undertake every day, helping to inspire greater action and reduce the effects of climate change in innovative and practical ways.
Entries in the Premier’s Sustainability Awards close on Thursday 13 June, 2019. Visit the website sustainabilityawards.vic.gov.au for further information.
