FURTHER BOOST FOR WERRIBEE CAMPING AND CARAVAN PARKS
Popular caravan and camping destinations in Werribee will share $2.04 million in Round 3 of the Andrews Labor Government’s Camping and Caravan Grants to upgrade and improve the visitor experience.
Member for Werribee Tim Pallas today announced the third round of grants were open for projects to up-grade campgrounds and caravan parks and boost regional tourism across Werribee.
The grants are part of Victoria’s Great Outdoors – a $105.6 million investment by the Andrews Labor Government to build better walking trails, campgrounds and visitor facilities to make it easier for all Victorians to explore our parks and forests, experience nature and support regional tourism.
Grants between $5,000 to $200,000 are available to support managers of campgrounds and caravan parks, including Crown land managers, committees of management, Traditional Owners and councils and, to improve the quality and amount of visitor facilities. Applications from, and partnerships with, Traditional Owners are encouraged.
The grants will boost regional Victoria through employing local business and will create more and better campgrounds, caravan parks and recreational facilities for visitors looking to explore what Werribee has to offer.
Applications for round three of the Camping and Caravan Grants opened on Thursday 29 April and re-main open until 4pm on Friday 11 June 2021.
